The person making the referral (Advocate) will be invited to select a reward of their choice for each individual or business referred (Referred Person) to First Federal Lakewood, who does not already have a First Federal Lakewood checking account, opens a new checking account and completes stated requirements within the time specified in the offer.
To make a referral, the Advocate must agree to the Program Terms and Conditions. There is no limit to how many rewards an Advocate can earn within a given year, but only one Advocate may receive a reward for each Referred Person who fulfills the requirements (the first Advocate that enters a Referred Person’s information will be the eligible Advocate). The Referred Person may also be eligible as an Advocate for any future referrals that they may make.
In order to become eligible for a reward, the Referred Person must open a new First Federal Lakewood account with the minimum requirements within 120-days after receiving the email or notification from First Federal Lakewood’s Referral Program.
When opening their new account, the Referred Person must provide the name or email address of the referring Advocate. All checking accounts are subject to First Federal Lakewood’s Deposit Agreement.
The reward offer is not available if the Referred Person already has a First Federal Lakewood checking account, and may not be combined with other offers. This program may be discontinued or changed at any time without notice.
The Advocate authorizes the sending of communications to each Referred Person. The email may not be recovered if the person has “opted out” of marketing material from First Federal Lakewood’s referral program, or RMS’ YAP. Each person who accepts the program terms and conditions authorizes future communications including, emails regarding the program, unless they “opt out” by making an election at RMS’ YAP or within such email. The Referred Person acknowledges that a reward email will be issued to the Advocate after all conditions have been met in the time frames specified.
Referral rewards may be subject to IRS reporting requirements. First Federal Lakewood may issue an IRS Form 1099 for the value of the reward, and participants may be required to complete a Form W 9.
